General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
On 25th May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) become law in all EU member states.
It applies to any organization anywhere in the world that collects, stores, and uses data concerning EU citizens. It aims to protect all EU citizens anywhere in the world. It therefore also applies to Asco Car Hire.
The core of GDPR is an attempt to safeguard individuals’ personal and private data. As you are probably aware, organizations such as Facebook, Google and many others collect data about customers / subscribers and there are concerns about how this data is used or could potentially be used.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND STORE ABOUT YOU
We store any information you provide to us through for the use of our car rental service.
For example, when you rent a car from us, we collect, your name, passport and driver’s license number, email address, phone number, physical address, your birthday, your credit card data etc.
USAGE OF YOUR DATA
- We reassure you that all personal data transmitted will be stored exclusively for the fulfillment and processing of the car rental agreement.
- We will never pass any personal data to any third parties not being involved in the fulfillment and processing of the arranged services.
- We guarantee that the persons authorized to process the personal data have committed themselves to confidentiality or are subject to an appropriate legal secrecy obligation.
As an EU citizen you are entitled to know what data Asco Car Hire has regarding you, where and how it is stored and who has access to it.
